This short-term course will provide you with a detailed understanding of how to use the OSHA 1926 Construction standards and how they apply to the construction industry. The class includes a written exam with a certificate of completion awarded through OSHA. For less intensive training, you may prefer to take our OSHA 10-Hour Construction course.

This course is designed to provide a basic overview of the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions on the job site and will provide the student with a basic understanding of OSHA regulations, enforcement, and compliance. Topics include discussions of the OSHA standards that relate to scaffolds and ladders, excavation and trenching, electrical safety, personal protection equipment, fire protection and prevention, health hazards, concrete and steel erection, material handling, tools and welding, heavy equipment, and cranes. Optional topics include motor vehicles, roll-over protection, cutting, masonry structure, blasting and the use of explosives.
