The costs associated with short-term training and workforce development classes follow a different fee schedule. Those costs can be found in our list of workforce development classes.

Books

Students can rent or purchase textbooks from the Craven Community College bookstore, located in the Business and Information Technology building on the New Bern campus. Visit the bookstore website for costs.

E-text fee

We have established an e-text digital course fee to reduce book/supply costs for certain courses. Please note that paying this fee eliminates the need for you to purchase the textbook and access code that was necessary in the past. Although this saves you money, you have the option to opt out of purchasing e-text digital course material. You must inform your instructor of your intent to opt out and complete the opt-out process. Instructors will provide a link to the portal, as well as a deadline to complete the process.

Paying for Short-Term and Workforce Classes

If you’re in one of our short-term workforce development training classes, you are not eligible for traditional financial aid such as the FAFSA. However, we have several scholarship options that may partially or completely cover the cost of your class.
