"State of Innovation" STEM Night will be held April 18 at Craven CC

NEW BERN – Craven Community College (Craven CC) will present “The State of Innovation” STEM Night as an official event of the 2024 North Carolina Science Festival on Thursday, April 18, 6-8 p.m., in Perdue Hall.

Each year the North Carolina Science Festival collaborates with hundreds of community-based events throughout the state to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). This year’s theme is “The State of Innovation” and will include hands on activities for all ages. Activities will include self-inflating balloons, assembling an automation, light-up badges, “the Nose Knows” and thermochromic slime.

The State of Innovation STEM night is free and open to the public.

“We love being a community partner with the NC Science Festival,” said Sara Jones, Craven CC Science Lab Coordinator. “It’s so rewarding to engage with the community and expose all ages to the wonders of STEM.”

The North Carolina Science Festival is presented by RTI International and produced by Morehead Planetarium and Science Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For more information, visit www.ncsciencefestival.org.

Craven CC’s commitment to STEM learning also includes the following events over the next two months:
