Craven Community College (Craven CC) will celebrate Founders Day Ball on Friday, March 18. The ball will take place from 6-10 p.m. at Copper Ridge on the Neuse in New Bern, located at 2706 Old Cherry Point Road, New Bern, NC 28560.

“This year's theme is Red Carpet,” said Craven CC Campus Life Coordinator Tobin Finizio. “The Hurst Student Ambassadors chose the theme because they wanted something nice and classy since we haven’t had the event in two years.”

This event will include a brief presentation by Craven CC President Dr. Ray Staats. There will also be a catered dinner, DJ music, dancing, and games. It’s a great chance to spend time together, make friends, and socialize.

Founders Day is a formal end-of-the-year event to celebrate when the college was founded. Craven CC traces its beginning to the early 1960s. Craven CC’s first Founders Day was celebrated on April 23, 1968.

Tickets can be purchased from any Hurst Student Ambassador or at the Campus Life Office located in Ward Hall. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for non-students. Masks are optional, and we will follow the college’s COVID-19 policies.

For more information, contact Finizio at 252-514-0562 or finiziot@cravencc.edu.
